Striking organic Romanesco cauliflower, grown for flavour as much as appearance, with its distinctive spiralled florets and delicate, nutty sweetness.
Closer in flavour to cauliflower than broccoli, Romanesco has a firm texture that holds beautifully when roasted or lightly steamed. Its clean, slightly sweet character makes it as good simply dressed with olive oil as it is folded into more considered dishes.
